New Traditions is a graduate assistantship opportunity that crosses program and discipline lines and is focussed on recruiting, supporting, mentoring and successfully graduating highly qualified graduate students. Research faculty affiliated with New Traditions are full-time tenure track and tenured assistant and associate professors in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture (TLAC). Through our combined efforts, we are building momentum and making inroads toward personal, professional, and scholarly improvements to our research community. In short, we seek to improve the scholarly climate of the graduate program in TLAC with particular attention to specific research areas as well as garnering and maintaining sustainable support for PhD students dedicated to these agendas.
